Why do all four at once
Pegs wear from underneath where you never look. The serrations round off, the rubbers perish, and you end up with a boot that creeps forward in the wet without ever quite noticing when it started. Replacing the set means all four have the same grip and the same height, and the pillion gets pegs that are not twenty thousand miles older than the rider’s. It is also the cheapest way to smarten up a bike that is otherwise tidy.
